Every year The Landmarks Conservatory honors distinguished New Yorkers as “Living Landmarks” for their contributions to New York City. The Conservancy is dedicated to preserving, restoring and reusing architecturally significant buildings throughout New York. This years honorees were Vanity Fair Editor-in-Chief Restaurateur Graydon Carter; real estate developer and Silverstein Properties owner Larry Silverstein; noted actor, author, producer, feminist and philanthropist Marlo Thomas and national talk show host icon Phil Donahue; Loews Hotels Chairman and CEO Jonathan M. Tisch; acclaimed interior designer Bunny Williams; and Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture Director Howard Dodson who received the Lew Rudin Living Landmark Award for Public Service.
