Russell Brand arrived at The 48th Annual New York Film Festival premiere of Oscar winner Julie Taymor’s version of the great mystical classic ‘The Tempest,’ strutted on to the media and paparazzi filled red carpet which was surrounded by barricades of fans, and everyone went wild. “Russell! Russell! The media and fans screamed and the comic actor, who’s on his way to becoming a major Hollywood movie star was charming and playful and couldn’t stop raving about his respect and admiration for the movie’s leading lady, Helen Mirren. Mirren who plays Prospera in the big screen adaptation, arrived minutes later and the flashing bulbs couldn’t get enough of the twosome, who are starring together again in the classic remake of Dudley Moore’s ‘Arthur’ filming around Manhattan. After being asked by Gossip Gal how lucky he felt to have landed music’s hot sensation Katy Perry, Russell responded, “I’m very happy.” ‘The Tempest’ opens in December.
