Artichoke Basilles, the small pizzeria shop that has taken lower Manhattan by storm with their tasty pizza, especially their artichoke topped slices, has just opened a second location across the way on the Lower West side. Strategically located in the hot nightclub area, the new shop will do for late night feasts what nightlife has done for the district, everything. So now, as we hobble out of all the nightclubs, we can extend that late night even more and continue hobbling on over to Artichokes which is open late, and I mean open late as in early breakfast late, so look for late night hours. Different than sister spot on East 14th Street which is really all take out or your choice of a few bar stools or the nearest stoop, the new shop at 17th and 10th Ave is really cool with a rustic feel of table seating and a bar. Of course, they have a pizza counter window for those who prefer their over-sliced creaminess to go. Rumor has it the nightlife gurus behind celebrity favorite club Avenue conveniently located next door, are partners with Francis Garcia and Sal Basille the original owners who are cousins and best friends. Run.  www.artichokepizza.com
