New York’s own Jimmy Fallon is hosting “The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards” live from Hollywood, this Sunday, August 29th from 8-11pm ET on his home turf of NBC. Jimmy’s ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ has already won two Creative Arts Emmys’, one for editing and another for interactive media. Jimmy is hilarious, hysterically funny, quick witted and really smart. Oh, and he’s really nice too. He is so excited to host the show that during a conference call yesterday, I thought he would jump out of his skin from the sheer thought of being able to perform in front of a massive audience like the one that the Emmys’ bring. Jimmy told us reporters that he has things planned that have never been done before like bringing Twitter in to the telecast. Twitter users are invited to submit or “tweet” introductions for more than 20 presenters and Fallon will pick and choose the funniest and incorporate them in to the show. The SNL alum and clever talk show host, who is also an avid TV fan, had me laughing the entire call. When asked about Betty White, who also won a Creative Arts Emmy for guest-actress for hosting SNL, Fallon said, “Betty will be in attendance and will probably be part of the broadcast. Hopefully, she’s not drunk. It’s just a mess. We were out at a John Mayer concert the other night and it was just a mess getting her home. She promised me she’s going to clean up her act.” Jimmy’s memorable auto tune presentation at last year’s Emmys’ is still talked about as one of the funniest moments of the show.
