The lovely, talented and smart Kim Raver a New Yorker at heart, who is living in LA and taping TV’s popular Grey’s Anatomy, took time out to film Lifetime’s compelling original movie ‘Bond of Silence,’ which premieres Monday August 23rd at 9pm. Based on a true story, Raver portrays a woman who struggles to find answers when her husband mysteriously ends up dead after visiting a teenage house party on New Year’s Eve. Heroes star Greg Grunberg, plays a detective helping her uncover the secrets behind what really happened. The 41 year old Raver, mother of two little boys is married to French filmmaker Manuel Boyer and of course speaks fluent French, not to mention fluent German, due to the heritage of her German born mother. Best known for being a small screen darling with recurring roles on ’24,’ ‘Third Watch’ and ‘Lipstick Jungle with Brooke Shields, she will now become more of a household name due to her series regular role on the mega popular ‘Grey’s Anatomy.’ Rumors swirled months back that Raver was brought in to replace difficult Grey’s star, Katherine Heigl. Raver, who specifically chose Lifetime’s ‘Bond of Silence’ because of its highly unusual circumstance and strong message, told me recently on a conference call that she’s not sure if she could do in her own life what her character does in this amazing story of tragedy, compassion and forgiveness. The passionate actress, who also told me she’s into fitness in her spare time and is in awe of the real doctors who work behind the scenes at Grey’s, is marvelous and captivating as a wife on a mission to find the truth about her husband. Do watch.
