The 48th Annual New York Film Festival running from September 24-October 10th at Lincoln Center, has chosen David Fincher’s highly anticipated new film ‘The Social Network,’ as their Opening Night film kicking- off at Alice Tully Hall on Friday, September 24th. Directed by Fincher from a screenplay by Aaron Sorkin, ‘The Social Network’ stars Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, and pop star Justin Timberlake. The story about Harvard undergrad and computer programming genius Mark Zuckerberg, who turned a fury of blogging and programming from his dorm room into a global social network that revolutionized communication, is the youngest billionaire in history. The 17-day New York Festival highlights the best in world cinema and will feature top films from celebrated filmmakers as well as fresh new talent.
