These days it seems in order to get to a cool, swank, chic bar with modern cocktails and a hip scene, you have to know someone, get a reservation, crawl through a wall, jump the hopscotch, recite the alphabet backwards to the scary doorman, and finally tumblesault your way to the bar stool. Well, The Summit Bar don’t play that and they prefer you just get to 133 Ave C in the East Village, walk right in like a mench and join the cool and serious underrated cocktail crowd whose only concerns are the interesting cocktail ingredients and cool snacks. Co- Owner, Greg Seider, tended bar at Minetta Tavern and Mercer Kitchen before opening The Summit. Check it out. www.thesummitbar.net
