Melissa Etheridge wowed the crowd last night at the Grammy sponsored concert at Hard Rock Café in Times Square. Melissa story- told while guitar strumming us down memory lane from her dropping out of the Berkeley School of Music to her dream of making it big in Hollywood. She played some of her classics like ‘Ain’t It Heavy’ and ‘Come to My Window,’ which gave her two Grammy’s and she played her current hit ‘Fearless Love.’ Etheridge, who has been nominated fifteen times for a Grammy, won an Academy Award much to her surprise, for the original song ‘I Need to Wake Up,’ from Al Gore’s Documentary, ‘An Inconvenient Truth.’ Twenty-seven million albums worldwide and almost fourteen million in the US alone, Melissa is still humble and true to herself. Plus, she plays a mean guitar.
