Jay Z is right, in New York there’s nothing he can’t do. Even when the City shot down his request to be allowed to perform on the Ed Sullivan Theatre’s marquee, just as Sir Paul McCartney did last summer during a taping of Dave Letterman’s show, Jay Z hip-hopped right around it. Instead, the King of NY along with Eminem took his performance to the 13 story- high roof of the theatre and proceeded to rock the concrete jungle to its core with a mini-concert.They did this as a prerequisite of what’s to come in September when Jay Z and Eminem make history by performing two concerts together, one at Yankee Stadium and the other at Detroit Stadium, representing each man’s home town. The three song performance will air on Letterman’s show this Friday. He ran this town last night.
