DJ extraordinaire Mark Ronson has put together a new album with The Business Intl, which includes musicians and singers from both sides of the Atlantic, like D’Angelo, Boy George, Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, Ghostface, MNDR and more. The new RCA album, entitled Record Collection, was recorded primarily in Brooklyn, drops in September and the new single “Bang Bang Bang” can be heard now. It features Ronson, Q-Tip and MNDR, and is a perfect slice of bouncing synth-hop and makes for a perfect summer jam. Q-tip was part of the critically acclaimed group A Tribe Called Quest, and MNDR is Amanda Warner, startling new electronic pop artist with a lot of buzz. It’s basically a disco beat that takes the French nursery rhyme “Alouette” and turns it into a French, electronic mix of NYC hip- pop which makes for a perfect party anthem. It’s totally cool and new age, and Ronson who splits his time between London and New York, incorporates his love of everything from hip-hop, disco, 80’s pop to French electro and all points in between.
