Television icon, Dick Clark will finally be honored Sunday night at the 37th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, live from Las Vegas for the very first time. Hosting this year is adored showbiz veteran and daytime talk show host, Regis Philbin. Clark, the American Bandstand host and producer will be honored for his pioneering efforts and for creating a successful formula of programming that kept him in the living rooms of America for almost half of a century. He also recognized early on the value of a brand and went on to create a franchise with “The Dick Clark Show” and “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve,” just to name a few. Following in his successful footsteps is his protégé radio and TV personality Ryan Seacrest, who took over for the newly named “Dick Clarks New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.” Catch The Daytime Emmy’s airing live on CBS from the The Las Vegas Hilton Sunday night at 9p.
