Craig Kilborn is set to return to television after six years off the air since he hosted The Late Late Show on CBS. Craig Ferguson took over the show that follows Dave Letterman, after he elected not to extend his contract, although there were rumblings of a breakdown in the negotiations. The new show “The Kilborn File,” (boring name) debuts Monday June 28th on Fox at 7p in NYC. The show will have opinions about current events and pop culture and have a ‘power panel’ that will discuss issues of the day. Yawn. Some are saying that the show will resemble his first talk show effort The Daily Show, which later went to super smart and funny Jon Stewart. Kilborn who is no comparison to Stewart, and has a history of being rude, offensive and not very funny, better get his act together if he plans on going the distance with the new venture. After six years of basically crying his eyes out, look for Craig to be smarter and humble.
