Laughing Affairs, founded by comedian Felicia Madison, presented Funny Business, a panel discussion for female comedians, before a packed house at New York City’s legendary Friars Club.

Funny Business offered female comedians insider tips on managing the business side of their careers. “The goal is to help female comedians navigate a complicated and male-dominated field,” says Felicia Madison, who moderated the discussion.

The event’s six panelists, leaders in the comedy community included: Tovah Silberman, a comedy booking agent at the Gersh Agency, Jessica Pilot, a talent booker, Cait Taylor of Brillstein Entertainment Partners, Emmy Blotnick, a comedian and writer who currently serves as head writer of Comedy Central’s President Show, Krystal Stark, owner of Stark White Entertainmen, and Amy Hawthorne, a comedian and writer who serves as Marketing and Web Manager for the New York Comedy Club.

Comedian Felicia Madison draws on her experiences as a stay-at-home mom in affluent Manhattan as the basis for her observational comedy, poking fun at marriage, parenthood, and life in general.
