VIP’s, media and guests packed the grounds at the Bridgehampton Historical Museum awaiting the arrival of supermodel Christie Brinkley like we were back in the 80’s when she was the “it” girl.
Beyond gorgeous and perfectly put together at 62-years young, the stunning mom of three who’s dating hot rocker John Mellencamp, made a grand entrance in a short white outfit with flowing cape to host the fifth annual St. Barth Hamptons gala presented by Social Life Magazine and St. Barth Tourism.
She walked and talked the red carpet to the eager press while the crowd hovered around desperately snapping away to get some pics of the gal who once graced more than 500 magazine covers including three consecutive Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues, as well as spending over-25 years as the face of CoverGirl comesmetics, the longest running cosmetics contract for a model in history.
Along for the ride were her two youngest; 18-year old daughter Sailor Brinkley-Cook and 21-year old son Jack Brinkley-Cook. While mom “worked” the crowd, the well-mannered kids and their friends hung out with the crowd seamlessly blending in.
At the fête celebrating the global icon’s third cover story for the luxury lifestyle publication, Christie mingled and posed for selfies with fans, who all wanted to know about her Christie Brinkley Authentic Skincare, and Christie’s exclusive Hair2wear lines.
Over 750 guests including Social Life publisher Justin Mitchell, celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch, artist Kevin Berlin, and professional poker player Beth Shak, enjoyed Christie’s new Organic Prosecco, Bellissima, hors d’oeuvres and a Starbucks coffee bar before dancing the night away to the sounds of DJ Lee Kalt.
