FOOTBALL, FOOD AND FASHION. NEED I SAY MORE?

The New York Jets will hold their 12th annual Taste of the Jets event on Monday, November 16, in partnership with Saks Fifth Avenue to benefit ShopRite Partners in Caring.

This unique event combines football, food and a fashion show featuring Jets players, allowing fans to experience all the city has to offer while teaming up with players and coaches to fight hunger in our community. The Taste is presented by Saks Fifth Avenue, ShopRite, Celebrity Cruises and ESPN New York 98.7.

For the second year, the Taste of the Jets will be held at 4 World Trade Center. This location will also be the site of a special edition of Inside the Jets, the weekly Monday night 98.7 ESPN radio show hosted by the Jets’ Eric Allen and ESPN’s Larry Hardesty and will feature on-air player guests.

“Each year the Taste of the Jets is a fantastic opportunity for fans to interact with our players and sample food from some of New York’s best restaurants,” said Jets President Neil Glat. “From a Saks fashion show to helping to fight hunger, this event has a little of everything for Jets fans.”

Current Jets Willie Colon, Quinton Coples, Antonio Cromartie, Demario Davis, Eric Decker, Leger Douzable, Nick Folk, Nick Mangold, Dexter McDougle, Calvin Pace, Buster Skrine and Leonard Williams will walk the runway as part of the third annual Taste Fashion Show, sporting looks from Saks.

“Saks is proud to be a part of this exciting event with the New York Jets to fight hunger in our community,” said Tom Ott, SVP GMM Men’s. “This year, Jets fans have the opportunity to see the latest in men’s fashion from Saks including Diesel, Eleventy, G Star Raw, Hugo Boss, Movado, PRPS, Strellson and Saks Fifth Avenue’s private menswear collection.”

The fashion show will kick off the evening, which features an incredible lineup of restaurants. STK, Lugo Cucina Italiana and Emma’s Ale House are among the 20 confirmed restaurants that will each serve a signature dish to the guests. ShopRite and Calandra’s will provide the desserts to top off the culinary portion of the night.

All net proceeds will benefit ShopRite Partners in Caring, a year-round, community-based hunger-fighting initiative that works with more than 50 food industry manufacturers to provide $3 million annually to more than 1,700 qualified charitable agencies in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Tickets are available for purchase for $375. For more information, visit newyorkjets.com/taste.
