Most Americans would rather divulge their age or even their weight rather than share what they earn.
That’s why this peek into dozens of paychecks — from the competitive eater to the toll collector, the reality TV star to the governor — is a tradition that is equal parts informative and interesting.
This year, Parade also looks at pay rates for some of the newest jobs out there (Uber driver, marijuana packager and drone technician, to name a few) and some of the more traditional occupations expected to grow in 2015 (including registered nurses, home health aides, and retail salespeople).
