Viacom President Philippe Dauman and wife Deborah attended the BET Honors show at Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C. last Saturday.

Dauman, second in command to Viacom Chief Sumner, Redstone, did the red carpet with BET Honoree Kanye West with wife Kim, and Viacom owned BET CEO Debra Lee.

Mr. West received the Visionary Award and was one of five honorees including Usher, Phylicia Rashad, Dr. Johnnetta Betsch Cole, the director of the National Museum of African Art, and John W. Thompson, chairman of Microsoft Corporation.

During his acceptance speech, West said “I understand what it is to be humbled for the first time.” Not one to miss a beat, West also made reference to Kim’s past relationship’s and coyly said, “My wife has dated broke black dudes.”

Now that’s the Kanye we know and love.
