NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke was honored by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles at its annual “Big Bash” gala at the Beverly Hilton on Friday night.
The power woman received the ‘Sherry Lansing Award’ from the Sherry Lansing, former CEO of Paramount Pictures and then some.
“I am humbled to receive an award named after somebody who is so accomplished, generous and just a wonderful person. … I look at Sherry [Lansing] and I feel she’s someone to look at to follow in their footsteps. So Sherry, thank you for everything that you do,” Salke said.
Salke is right. She does have big footsteps to follow. When Lansing was president of production at 20th Century Fox, she was the first woman to head a Hollywood studio.
She paved the way ladies.
