Pop star Britney Spears opened her new Vegas residency to rave reviews and a star studded guest list.
Miley Cyrus, Adam Lambert, Katy Perry and DJ Pauly D all checked out this weekend’s four Britney Spears: Piece of Me shows at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Spears will take a month off before returning at the end of January.
Music wasn’t the only thing on the Brit’s mind.
Spears exclusively told E! News that she’d love to return to the big screen. “I would love to act,” she said. “I would love to do movies. If it was the right part, it would be really cool…I love funny movies.”
Among Spears’ most recent favorites are We’re the Millers with Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis and the 2011 megahit Bridesmaids. “I also love Jennifer Lopez movies,” she said. “I love Jennifer Lopez.”
The 32-year-old music superstar also admitted she thinks about retiring and going back to her southern roots.
“I have thought about it, but I think right now is my time to perform and doing what I’m doing,” she said. “If I happen to have another baby or something like that, I’d probably move back to Louisiana. I do miss Louisiana. I miss the people. I miss the food. I miss the way of life, how everything is really simple. There’s no traffic like there is in L.A. It’s really nice.”
As far as her new show goes, “People should expect something very entertaining, a lot of fun and emotional, too,” she also recently told me. “I think the show takes you on this fun rollercoaster of uplifting things and then moody stuff that grabs you and takes you in.”
