Carmelo Anthony will be handing out school supplies for the launch of the Tools For Teachers Initiative, where teachers from all five NYC boroughs will be present to pick up school supplies for their students.
In partnership with the DJS Real Estate Development, school supplies will be delivered to an estimated 100 teachers in an effort to enhance learning opportunities and aid teachers in providing the best education possible.
The schools have been selected based on test scores within under privileged communities. Anthony recognizes the importance of education and The Carmelo Anthony Foundation is the vehicle by which he gives back to the community through a variety of outreach programs and donations.
The Knicks play the Milwaukee Bucks at home Wednesday, October 30.
