In theaters now,dramatic thriller ‘ARGO’ directed by and starring Ben Affleck is based on real events.
It chronicles the life-or-death covert operation to rescue six Americans, which unfolded behind the scenes of the Iran hostage crises, focusing on the little-known role that the CIA and Hollywood played–information that was not declassified until many years after the event.
It follows Affleck’s critically acclaimed first two pictures ‘Gone Baby Gone’ and ‘The Town.’
Even though we all know the outcome, it is suspenseful and exhilarating, and still packs a remarkably unexpected punch.
“Argo” also stars Bryan Cranston, Alan Arkin, John Goodman, Victor Garber, Tate Donovan, Clea DuVall, Scoot McNairy, Rory Cochrane, Christopher Denham, Kerry Bishé, Kyle Chandler and Chris Messina who may finally break out of his Independent film abode.
