Marcus Samuelsson Rules the Roost

Famed Top Chef Master Marcus Samuelsson who I remember from back in the day from high–end Aquavit, opened Red Rooster in the heart of Harlem and it’s a great big hit.

You can smell the passion coming from the American & Southern Soul Food kitchen in the modern, casual and chic restaurant serving delicious and fulfilling comfort food with something for everyone.

Red Caesar Salad and his cheesy rendition of Mac & Greens to Red Snapper and Blackened Catfish, Steak Frites and Fried Shrimp, and succulent sides of dirty rice, collard greens and mouth watering corn bread filled me for days. Spiced just right, I’m not surprised every table was taken as well as every bar stool at the front handsome and bustling bar.

Oh, did I mention we had dessert too? The sweet potato donut holes with cinnamon sugar that we dipped in creamy chocolate sauce my enemies should never know from.

The Rooster is yummy. Now if they would only get comfortable chairs.
