No only screen stars get awards at gala black-tie dinners.
Get in the spirit wine lovers. The editors of Wine Enthusiast Magazine honor the individuals and companies that have made outstanding achievements in the wine world.
Check out the list below but categories include Importer and Winery of the Year plus Retailer of the Year nominees Safeway, Stew Leonard’s, Trader Joe’s, Wine.com, and Vino Volo, and Restaurateur of the Year nominees B&B Hospitality Group’s Mario Batali, Joe Bastianich and his famous mom Lidia Matticchio, Daniel Boulud, Tom Colicchio, Alex Guarnaschelli, and Michael Mina.
Also, a new category for spirits – “Mixologist of the Year,” has been added to complement the “Distiller of the Year” award.
The winners will be announced in the special December 15th Wine Star Award issue, and just like the stars, the honorees will be presented their Wine Star Award trophies at a gala black-tie dinner in New York City on January 30th, 2012.
