Dramatic actress Taraji P. Henson who garnered an Oscar nom for her performance in ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’ opposite Brad Pitt, and who just went nude for Peta, stars on Lifetime Television’s ‘Taken From Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story.’ The film based on the dramatic true story of a mother’s rescue of her six year old son after he’s abducted by his biological father and taken from his home in Queens, New York, all the way to Seoul, South Korea, was a subject that Henson, the mother of a sixteen year old could totally relate to. Spoke to Taraji on the phone recently and when asked what advice she has for single moms she said, “Don’t ever give up on your kid. Stay focused on your child. I spend a lot of time with my son.” On her career, the dramatic actress who can do emotional on screen like no one else said, “I want to do more comedy. I want to laugh, and not cry anymore.” To say Taraji is talented would be an understatement. Besides her current goal of convincing the studio suites to green-light certain films, she can also sing like no one’s business, and plans on working on some new music but just for the love of it. When I asked her what producers she had in mind she said, “I like Q-Tip from A Tribe Called Quest. And I like disco.” Well, I like Taraji P. Henson and look forward to everything she does in the future beginning with “Taken From Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story’ at 9pm ET on Lifetime Television Monday, January 31st.
