Hip Hop recording artist Nicki Minaj performed live in NYC at Hammerstein Ballroom’s Hot 97 Thanksgiving Thank You concert along with Kanye West, Drake and Rihanna. Minaj, who’s originally from Trinidad, grew up in Queens NY from age five, and has been on the music scene for over five years, but over the last year has won over five BET awards, a Teen Choice ‘Breakout Artist’ award and an MTV ‘Best New Artist’ award. Her style is sexy but she said she purposely tones it down so she can teach young girls that sex appeal alone is not enough. Keep your eyes on Ms.Minaj.
