MTV programming veteran Tony DiSanto is leaving after 20 years and bringing his long-time colleague Liz Gateley over to production whiz Ben Silverman’s newish company Electus, which is financed by Internet Mogul Barry Diller’s company, IAC. The new company DiGa will focus on all programming from reality and scripted to feature film. DiSanto, who began his career as an intern for MTV, was behind hit shows including ‘Total Request Live,’ ‘The Hills,’ and most recently ‘Jersey Shore’ and ‘Teen Mom.’
