Bradley Cooper called his pal Liam Neeson to replace Mel Gibson in what would have been a cameo role in ‘Hangover 2’. Director Todd Phillips had originally thought it would be a great idea to put Gibson in the sequel but rumor has it the cast and crew revolted and refused to work with him. Cooper, who is on his way to being a major player and has much clout these days, stepped in and called Neeson who he worked with on The A-Team, and he flew down immediately to the set from New York. Neeson told Daily Variety, “I just got a call to do a one day shoot on “Hangover 2” as a tattooist in Thailand, and that’s all I know about it.”
